Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 2026
Our commitment
The Last Save Inc believes everyone deserves a team in their corner, and that includes being able to use our website. We want everyone, including people with disabilities and the many veterans living with service-connected disabilities, to be able to learn about our work, donate, register for events, shop, and apply for support on thelastsave.com.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and learning and cognitive disabilities.
Conformance status: thelastsave.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means some parts of the site don't yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working on it.
What we've done
-
Built the site on Wix, which supports keyboard navigation, screen readers, and accessible page structure
-
Used a heading structure (H1, H2, H3) so screen-reader users can navigate pages
-
Added descriptive alternative (alt) text to meaningful images, and marked decorative images so screen readers skip them
-
Aimed for sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds, including text placed over cover images
-
Labeled form fields so they can be read aloud by assistive technology
-
Made phone numbers and email addresses tap-to-call and tap-to-email links
-
Avoided flashing content and autoplaying audio
-
Designed pages to resize and reflow on phones and tablets
Known limitations
We know about the following issues and are working to fix them:
-
Third-party features. Some features come from Wix apps and outside services, including the donation form, store checkout, event registration and ticketing, and embedded Instagram content. We don't fully control how accessible they are.
-
Images. Some older images, including product and gallery photos, may still be missing descriptive alt text. We are adding it.
-
Long forms. The scholarship application is long and includes a signature field and a file upload, which can be hard to complete with some assistive technologies.
-
Documents and graphics. Some images contain text, such as event flyers, and some linked documents may not be fully accessible.
If any of these get in your way, contact us and we'll help you another way (see below).
Other ways to get help
You never have to struggle through an inaccessible page to support or reach us. We're happy to:
-
Take a donation, store order, or event registration by phone or email
-
Help you complete a scholarship application by phone, or send the questions in another format, such as a plain-text document or large print
-
Provide event information in another format, and discuss accommodations for in-person events
Feedback and contact
If you run into an accessibility barrier on our site, or need information in a different format, please tell us. Let us know the page address (URL), what you were trying to do, and the problem you ran into. If you use assistive technology, telling us which one also helps.

Assessment approach
The Last Save assessed this website through self-evaluation, using Wix's built-in accessibility checker and manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader spot checks. We plan to review the site again whenever we make major changes, and at least once a year.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox) on desktop and mobile, and with common screen readers, such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
