Terms & Conditions
Effective date: October 3, 2026 Last updated: October 2026

Welcome to thelastsave.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by The Last Save Inc ("The Last Save," "we," "us," or "our"), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, EIN 39-2677410.

By using the Site, making a donation, buying something from our store, registering for an event, or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. About The Last Save
The Last Save supports people affected by mental health challenges, trauma, and addiction through recovery support, sober-living scholarships, community events, storytelling, and advocacy, including our work to open a veteran sober living home.

The Site is not a crisis service and does not provide medical, mental health, or addiction treatment. Nothing on the Site is medical or professional advice. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Veterans: dial 988, then press 1. In an emergency, call 911.

2. Donations
Tax deductibility. The Last Save Inc is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 39-2677410). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We don't give tax advice, so please check with your tax advisor about your situation.

Receipts. After you donate online, you'll receive an email receipt. Keep it for your records. If you need a year-end summary or a corrected receipt, email admin@thelastsave.com.

Goods or services in exchange. When you receive something of value in exchange for a payment, such as an event ticket, dinner, book, or merchandise, only the amount you pay above the fair market value of what you receive may be deductible. When required by law, we'll tell you the estimated fair market value on your receipt or at checkout.

Recurring donations. If you choose a monthly or yearly gift, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method on that schedule until you cancel. To cancel or change a recurring gift, email admin@thelastsave.com or call (602) 616-7318 at least 3 business days before your next scheduled charge.

Use of donations. Donations support The Last Save's charitable mission. Donations made to a specific program (for example, "Sponsor a Veteran") are used for that program whenever possible. As a nonprofit, our board keeps final discretion over how funds are used, so we can direct gifts where the need is greatest if a program changes, is fully funded, or can't be carried out.

Donation refunds. Donations are generally final. If you made a mistake, such as a wrong amount, a duplicate charge, or an unintended recurring gift, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we'll work with you to correct or refund it. Refunds of donations already acknowledged for tax purposes may require us to issue a corrected receipt.

Payment processing. Online payments are processed by Wix Payments and/or other third-party payment processors. We do not store your full card number on our systems.

3. Store Orders and Pre-Orders
Products. Our store offers books, apparel, and other items. Proceeds support The Last Save's mission. We try to show products, colors, and sizes accurately, but screens vary and we can't guarantee an exact match.

Prices and availability. Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change without notice. Applicable sales tax and shipping are shown at checkout. We may limit quantities, cancel an order, or refund it if an item is unavailable, mispriced, or the order appears fraudulent.

Pre-orders. Some items (for example, signed books and jerseys) are sold as pre-orders. That means the item isn't made or shipped yet. Your card is charged when you place the pre-order. We'll share an estimated ship date on the product page or by email, but dates are estimates and can change. If a pre-order is delayed significantly, we'll let you know and you may cancel for a full refund. You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund any time before it ships by emailing admin@thelastsave.com.

Shipping. We ship to addresses in the United States. Shipping times are estimates and begin once your order ships. You'll receive tracking information by email when it's available. Please double-check your shipping address. We aren't responsible for orders sent to an address entered incorrectly at checkout. If a package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days of delivery (or expected delivery) and we'll help make it right.

Returns and exchanges. You can return unused, unworn, unwashed items in their original condition within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. To start a return, email admin@thelastsave.com with your order number. Unless the item was damaged, defective, or wrong, return shipping is your responsibility.

The following are final sale and can't be returned unless damaged or defective: signed or personalized items, books with personalized messages, and sponsored seats or other items that include a donation component.

Refunds. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the return. Original shipping charges aren't refundable unless we made an error.

Purchases are not donations. Because you receive goods in exchange, store purchases are generally not tax-deductible, except for any amount clearly identified as a donation above the item's fair market value.

4. Events, Tickets, and RSVPs
Registration. When you buy a ticket or RSVP for an event, you agree to give accurate information and to follow the venue's rules and any event-specific terms shown at registration.

Ticket refunds. Unless the event page says otherwise, ticket purchases can be refunded if you cancel at least 14 days before the event. After that, tickets are non-refundable, but you may transfer your ticket to someone else by emailing admin@thelastsave.com with the new guest's name. The tax-deductible portion of any ticket or sponsorship is the amount above the fair market value of the benefits you receive.

Changes and cancellations. Event details, including dates, times, venues, speakers, and programs, may change. If we cancel an event, you'll be offered a refund of your ticket price or the option to treat your payment as a donation. If we reschedule, your ticket will be valid for the new date, or you can request a refund within 14 days of our announcement. We aren't responsible for travel, lodging, or other costs you incur.

Participation and safety. Some events, such as runs, walks, and outdoor activities, involve physical activity. You participate voluntarily and at your own risk, and you're responsible for making sure you're fit to take part. We may require a separate participant waiver for certain events.

Photos and video. We may photograph or record our events and use those images to share our mission, including on the Site and social media. If you'd prefer not to be featured, tell a team member at the event or email admin@thelastsave.com.

Conduct. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is disruptive, unsafe, or under the influence in a way that endangers others, without a refund.

5. Scholarship Applications and Other Forms
When you submit a scholarship application, contact form, or other form, you confirm the information is true and that you have the right to share it. Submitting an application does not guarantee a scholarship, placement, housing, or any other service. Scholarship decisions are made at The Last Save's discretion based on available funds and program guidelines. We handle application information as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Text Messages (SMS)
If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive calls and texts from The Last Save at the number you provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of donating, purchasing, or receiving services. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Using the Site
You agree not to: use the Site for anything illegal; try to hack, disrupt, or overload it; submit false information or someone else's payment details; harvest other users' information; or post content that is abusive, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights. We may suspend access for anyone who violates these Terms.

Member accounts. If you create an account on the Site, you're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account.

Links to other sites. The Site may link to other websites, such as Instagram, partner organizations, or fundraising platforms. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or policies.

8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including The Last Save name and logo, text, graphics, photos, videos, and book and merchandise designs, is owned by The Last Save Inc or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may share links to our pages and our public posts for personal, non-commercial purposes to help spread the mission. You may not copy, sell, or reuse our name, logo, or content for commercial purposes, or to suggest our endorsement, without our written permission.

If you submit a story, photo, testimonial, or other content to us, you give us permission to use it to share our mission, unless you tell us otherwise in writing. We'll never publish personal details from a scholarship application without your explicit permission.

9. Disclaimers
The Site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site, its content, or its availability, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Last Save Inc, its directors, officers, volunteers, and partners won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, donations, purchases, or event participation. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the transaction that gave rise to the claim, or $100 if no payment was involved. Some states don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless The Last Save Inc and its directors, officers, volunteers, and partners from claims arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, unless the law requires otherwise. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.

13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Terms & Conditions - the basics

Having said that, Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) are a set of legally binding terms defined by you, as the owner of this website. The T&C set forth the legal boundaries governing the activities of the website visitors, or your customers, while they visit or engage with this website. The T&C are meant to establish the legal relationship between the site visitors and you as the website owner.

T&C should be defined according to the specific needs and nature of each website. For example, a website offering products to customers in e-commerce transactions requires T&C that are different from the T&C of a website only providing information (like a blog, a landing page, and so on).

T&C provide you as the website owner the ability to protect yourself from potential legal exposure, but this may differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, so make sure to receive local legal advice if you are trying to protect yourself from legal exposure.

What to include in the T&C document

Generally speaking, T&C often addresses these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.

To learn more about this, check out our article “Creating a Terms and Conditions Policy”.
